Our client is an airline organisation operating and maintaining a commercial aircraft fleet. They are seeking a Manager, Service Engineering to lead service engineering activities and ensure continuing airworthiness, reliability, and compliance with applicable airworthiness requirements.

Position

The Manager, Power Plant & ETOPS is responsible for the management, control, and supervision of the airline's Power Plant and ETOPS (Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards) activities. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, the role ensures the continued airworthiness, reliability, and performance of aircraft engines and ETOPS-related systems, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, approved procedures, and company standards.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Managing and overseeing all Power Plant and ETOPS engineering activities.
  • Making technical decisions and determining appropriate corrective actions in accordance with approved maintenance manuals and procedures.
  • Monitoring engine performance, reliability, and condition to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Managing engine shop visits, repairs, overhauls, and related maintenance programmes.
  • Supporting ETOPS compliance by ensuring all operational and maintenance requirements are met.
  • Providing technical guidance and oversight on engine-related issues and maintenance practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
  • Coordinating with maintenance providers, engineering teams, and other departments on power plant and ETOPS matters.
  • Supervising personnel within the Power Plant and ETOPS section and providing technical leadership.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering (or related discipline) or an appropriate Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in technical services with knowledge of airworthiness regulations and engine shop visit management.
  • Formal training on at least one aircraft or engine type operated by the airline.
  • Engine Trend Monitoring training.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance methods and technical engineering practices.
  • Strong technical, computer, and English language skills.

Terms

Monthly Remuneration: up to USD 5,000 p.m.
