Our client is a well-established aviation operator based in the Middle East, providing commercial aviation services across the region. We are seeking an experienced Head of Quality / Quality Manager responsible for establishing, maintaining, and monitoring an independent quality system to ensure full compliance with company policies and international aviation legal requirements. The role has direct responsibility over all Quality Department Staff, with a designated Quality Auditor as deputy.

Position

The Head of Quality is formally accepted by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) and reports directly to the Accountable Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and monitor an independent quality system ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage the company audit planning system and implement audit programmes covering all operational areas, including subcontracted entities.
  • Monitor compliance with operational procedures and airworthiness standards; verify the implementation of required standards across all operations.
  • Maintain a feedback system to report non-conformities to responsible managers.
  • Evaluate service providers and assess external services and component suppliers for quality; maintain oversight expertise.
  • Review and approve internal standard practices and procedures.
  • Disseminate relevant QA information across the organisation.
  • Coordinate with operational managers on risk management and ensure QA support aligns with company growth.
  • Manage and direct quality staff.
  • Authorised to take necessary actions to prevent unsafe conditions and ensure flight and organisational safety and compliance.

Requirements
  • Practical experience and expertise in aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Management experience in a comparable organisation.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in the aeronautical industry.
  • Experience managing aviation quality systems and conducting safety/quality audits and inspections.
  • Computer literacy and strong analytical skills.
  • Completion of training in: Quality Management System, Quality Assurance Program, Audit Techniques, and Human Factors & CRM.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of JCAR OPS 1 and associated regulations, JAV AOC and Ops Specs, and Quality & Safety Manuals.

Terms

Remuneration: Up to USD 6,000 per month

Contract length: 12-month renewable.
