Our client is an airline operator with an in-house continuing airworthiness / engineering function. They are looking to hire a Structure Engineer to support aircraft structural engineering activities across the fleet.
Position
This position is responsible for following up and coordinating all engineering actions related to aircraft structures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assess Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Alert Service Bulletins (SBs) and other SBs (where required) related to aircraft structure, and determine applicability to the fleet.
- Issue Engineering Orders and engineering advisories related to aircraft structural matters.
- Circulate advisories based on new manufacturer instructions related to aircraft structure.
- Support the control and monitoring of scheduled maintenance and structural repairs in coordination with the Technical Planning section.
- Support the control and monitoring of implementation of applicable ADs and SBs in coordination with the Technical Planning section.
- Monitor implementation of structural modifications as required by management.
- Assess structural damage and corrosion in accordance with the applicable structural repair manuals and technical documentation; ensure relevant structural tracking records (e.g., dent and buckle charts) are reviewed and updated regularly.
- Arrange temporary structural repairs when applicable through an approved and appropriately trained organisation.
- Liaise with aircraft manufacturers on structural issues and follow up on technical guidance as required.
- Extract new relevant SBs from Airbus On Line Service (AOLS) and MyBoeingFleet for evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering (or a relevant discipline) or an appropriate Part 66 licence.
- Formal aeronautical training on at least one aircraft type operated by the client.
- Aircraft structural repair specialised training.
- Required basic / recurrent training in line with the client’s Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) requirements.
- Strong technical capability and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong command of English.
- Good computer skills.
Terms
Remuneration: up to 5,000 USD per month.
