Our client is a dedicated aviation operator in Papua New Guinea, known for its vital domestic network and commitment to safety. Position

This role is responsible for the day-to-day, short and long-term planning of aircraft maintenance for our client's fleet. You will be preparing the required work packs and delivering them to the MRO in accordance with KPI deadlines. This position reports to the GM CAMG in the Continuing Airworthiness Management Group.

Key responsibilities

  • Forecasting short and long-term maintenance requirements, specifically concerning critical parts and rotables.
  • Requisitioning critical parts and rotables in advance, in accordance with established KPI targets.
  • Preparing work packs and delivering them to the MRO as per the scheduled KPI deadlines.
  • Ordering parts and consumables at the time of work pack delivery to the MRO.
  • Assisting with the processing of technical records to prevent backlogs, as directed by the Technical Records & Planning Manager.
  • Planning & Supervision: Oversee all short and long-term maintenance planning and supervision.
  • Aircraft Checks: Prepare and deliver maintenance checks for ATR and Dash-8 aircraft, following the CAMM manual timelines.
  • Usage Forecasting: Issue and review maintenance forecasts every three months to ensure they align with aircraft utilisation rates.
  • Work Pack Updates: List all pre-load requirements for work packs and update them monthly to maximise part usage.
  • Supply Chain: Order all necessary parts and consumables for ATR and Dash-8 aircraft within KPI deadlines.

Requirements

Technical experience requirement

  • Software Skills: Proficient in using IAS and CAMP systems.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience within the aviation industry or a similar technical environment.
  • Business Awareness: A solid understanding of aviation business goals and the computerised systems used in technical records.
  • Practical Knowledge: Hands-on experience in managing technical records within similar organisations

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Systems Experience: Prior training and experience with IAS and RAAS is highly preferred.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years in Technical Records or Maintenance Planning, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of CAR Parts 91, 43, 119, 121, and 125.
  • IT Literacy: High level of computer literacy and proficiency in aviation-related software.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse technical teams.
