Our client PNG Air - is an established airline in Papua New Guinea. The airline is the leading operator in the country and currently operates in nearly 30 domestic destinations. 

Position

The B2 ATR Licensed Engineer will report to the Engineering Maintenance Manager and must have a license with type-rate on the DHC8 and ATR 72 – 600.


Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualified in Engineering, Aviation or equivalent
  • Must hold an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL) issued by PNG, Australia, New Zealand or the EASA States with type rating on PT6A Series, Garrett TPE 331 series and Dash 8/PW 100 series.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or in a similar role.
  • Hands on experience in the aviation industry and maintenance tracking software systems.
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of the maintenance parts of the company’s exposition and the applicable maintenance provisions of CA Rule Part 145 and CA Rule Part 121.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, reporting skills and have completed training in human factors.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Recognise safety as a core value in all decision-making.
  • Performs and certifies aircraft maintenance activities
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities and staff
  • Provide leadership guidance to unlicensed members
  • Report any issues effecting, safe on–time accomplishment of assigned tasks to the supervisor.
  • Focus on performing line and base maintenance support to the respective aircraft types.
  • Perform all assigned duties in accordance with the MOE.
  • Consult the supervisor when difficulties arise in completing an assigned task.

Terms
  • Gross Salary: Up to AUD 95k P.A (negotiable)
  • Accommodation and transportation: provided 
  • Annual Leaves: 30 days
  • Sick leaves: 9 days
  • Annual Leave Tickets: 4 return tickets per annum
  • Working hours: Roster 4 Shifts
