Our client is an established airline in Oceania. The airline is the leading operator in the country and currently operates in nearly 30 domestic destinations. 

Position

The Technical Services Engineer Airframe Structures reports to the Manager Technical Services and is responsible for the specialization of mechanical and structural engineering related to the airframe structure and the interface of these specifications with other areas in relation to the Company’s aircraft and equipment.


Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Aircraft Engineering and related environments with relevant formal qualifications.
  • General Airline experience with thorough knowledge of airline commercial/private operations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in related disciplines are desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • To comply with the regulations and requirements of CASA PNG, TC (Canada), FAA, EASA and CASA Australia in the relevant areas.
  • Review the Airworthiness Directives of the state of design every week and assess the Maintenance Data.
  • Evaluate the Service Literature from Aircraft and equipment manufacturers and assess the Maintenance Data as needed.
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting support, research and investigation for maintenance defects to the Maintenance Provider and the Continued Airworthiness Management Group. 
  • Advise Flight Operations of the changes that affect aircraft operation after modifications and assist them with operational matters in the area of responsibility.
  • Perform technical and economic evaluation of proposed modifications, develop modifications if required, and submit them for embodiment.
  • Evaluate the technical specifications of new equipment or processes and recommend the ones that are suitable for approved use.
  • Assist in the development and final acceptance of specifications for new aircraft to be introduced into service.

Terms
  • Gross Salary: Up to AUD 90k P.A (negotiable)
  • Accommodation and transportation: provided 
  • Annual Leaves: 30 days
  • Sick leaves: 9 days
  • Annual Leave Tickets: 4 return tickets per annum
  • Working hours: Standard hours
