On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced aviation finance professional to join its Finance team as Financial Reporting, based in Papua New Guinea.

Position

This role is for an experienced finance professional who can lead the financial reporting function of the airline and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

Role Purposes:

  • Managing month-end close processes and IFRS compliance
  • Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting obligations
  • Preparing financial statements, management reports, and shareholder reports
  • Strengthening reporting controls and improving reporting timelines
  • Supporting strategic financing initiatives, including aircraft acquisitions and PDP funding arrangements
  • Delivering high-quality financial insights to Management, the Board, and external stakeholders

Overall, the position focuses on financial reporting leadership, compliance, process improvement, and strategic financial support within the airline industry.

Requirements

Education

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • CPA / CA / ACCA mandatory.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 -12 years of finance experience
  • At least 5 years in Accounts Payable
  • Airline industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting.
  • Experience with aircraft financing, lease accounting and complex reporting environments preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP desirable.

Terms
  • Remuneration: USD 75,000 to USD 80,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
