Position

We are looking for a Maintenance Control Director

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Leads the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all line maintenance activities across the airline, and third-party aircraft.

  • Oversees 24/7 operations to maintain regulatory compliance, company standards, and the highest possible on-time performance (OTP).

  • Acts as the focal point for planned and unplanned maintenance events, prioritising Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery, minimising disruptions, and ensuring fleet availability and airworthiness.

  • Coordinates with internal teams, service providers, and technical partners to drive timely repair of deferred maintenance items, ensure accurate maintenance documentation, and effective use of AMOS for defect reporting and tracking.

  • Monitors aircraft performance, chronic issues, and reliability programs while collaborating with MCC duty managers to optimise maintenance planning and routing.

  • Spearheads process improvements, OTP initiatives, and safety risk management activities to uphold operational excellence and compliance.

  • Participates in safety, reliability, and operational review forums, and supports customer satisfaction initiatives as part of strategic and operational leadership duties. 

 

Requirements
  • Must have more than fifteen (15) years of relevant technical experience in the airline or aviation industry particularly under the Maintenance Control Centre function.
  • Preferably has a Maintenance Engineer member license type II from an ICAO state.
  • Must have proficient knowledge in airline and flight operations, SGHA contracting formalities and standard regulations; and a good understanding of Flight crew thought process.
  • Must possess good leadership and people management skills; must have experience in leading and developing a team of engineers in a frequently changing environment with heavy work-load schedules and ad-hoc scenarios.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must have the ability to produce, interpret, assimilate data and express ideas and concepts clearly.
  • Must be strategic, cost-oriented, and possess effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. 
 

Terms

Remuneration: Up to USD 6,000 per month + allowances
