Founded in 2018, this fast-growing logistics firm provides tailored air cargo solutions across global markets. As part of a wider international group, they manage capacity sales, scheduled and charter flights, and complex freight operations. They’re now seeking a Business Development Manager to help drive strategic growth.

Position

They’re now seeking a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth by building strategic customer relationships, uncovering new market opportunities, and supporting innovative cargo solutions.

Key responsibilities:

Commercial Development

  • Identify and engage high-potential freight forwarders, integrators, and direct shippers
  • Support the onboarding of strategic accounts in new or emerging markets
  • Build and nurture long-term customer relationships to enable the launch of new routes or services
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to tailor offerings and enhance service differentiation based on client needs

Sales Support & Revenue Enablement

  • Map General Sales Agents (GSAs) and customers in new markets to assess tonnage and yield potential
  • Provide commercial insights, market intelligence, and qualified leads to Sales teams
  • Contribute to RFQs, strategic tenders, and high-value client engagements
  • Work closely with Revenue Management to align pricing and capacity with optimal market opportunities

Product Development & Innovation

  • Design and launch value-added cargo solutions (e.g. express services, sector-specific products, last-mile delivery)
  • Incorporate market research and customer feedback into product development and refinement
  • Support the deployment of digital tools such as e-booking, shipment tracking, and electronic AWB
  • Ensure product viability and seamless integration within existing digital infrastructure

Requirements
  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years’ experience in business development, key account management, or commercial roles within air cargo, logistics, or freight forwarding
  • Strong commercial acumen with a solid grasp of cargo sales cycles and customer behaviour
  • Proven experience in RFQs, pricing strategy, and digital product enablement
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach and the ability to deliver results swiftly and accurately
  • Fluent in English, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Resilience under pressure and strong organisational skills
  • Willingness to travel as required

Remuneration is up to 70,000 EUR per annum (based on your experience) plus benefits:
