Manager Aircraft Maintenance\| Permanent Role \| Papua New Guinea Papua New Guinea Competitive Gross Salary (Negotiable) Apply
Our client, a leading airline in Papua New Guinea operating nearly 30 domestic routes, is seeking a Manager - Aircraft Maintenance to lead the maintenance operations supporting continued airworthiness and regulatory standards across its fleet. Position The Manager - Aircraft Maintenance reports to General Manager - MRO and is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency in aircraft maintenance, while supporting strategic growth and continuous improvement across the MRO department. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Maintenance or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent experience) 10+ years in aircraft maintenance with 5+ years in management roles LAME license (or equivalent) required Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, maintenance systems, and safety standards Experience with turboprop aircraft preferred Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills Proficient in maintenance tracking systems and technical documentation Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day aircraft maintenance operations in accordance with safety and quality standards Ensure compliance with CASA PNG and Part 145 regulations Manage maintenance planning, execution, audits, and records Supervise maintenance staff including training, evaluation, and resource planning Collaborate with CAMO, Flight Ops, Stores, and other key departments Support fleet expansion, project planning, and induction of new aircraft Oversee budget, costs, and maintenance performance metrics Promote a strong safety culture and participate in safety groups and initiatives Act as Deputy GM MRO during absences Terms Competitive Gross Salary (Negotiable) Accommodation, transportation, and health insurance provided 30 days annual leave + 9 days sick leave 4 return tickets per year Working hours: Roster/Shifts as per airline's policy General This is a strategic and operational role suited for a results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
