Airline: Our client has a diverse fleet of wide-, narrow-body and regional aircraft operating in different parts of the South Asia.

 

Position

We are looking for a Network Planning & Scheduling Lead.

The role is responsible for shaping and optimising the airline’s international network through data-driven strategic planning, commercial analysis, and cross-functional coordination. Key responsibilities include identifying and evaluating new international route opportunities, developing long-term network expansion strategies, and building comprehensive business cases using demand forecasts, revenue/cost modelling, and competitive benchmarking.

The position designs and optimises seasonal international schedules, manages aircraft routing and utilisation, and ensures operational feasibility in coordination with internal teams. It also oversees international slot management and regulatory engagement, securing airport slots and maintaining compliance with bilateral agreements and aviation frameworks.

Performance monitoring is a core function, involving continuous evaluation of route profitability and competitiveness to recommend improvements or corrective actions. The role requires strong leadership in coordinating new route launches and maintaining strategic relationships with airports, tourism authorities, and global partners.


Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Business Management, Aviation Management, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant managerial experience in an international airline.

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Aviation Management, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant managerial experience in an international airline.

AND

  • Proven experience in international network planning, route evaluation, and scheduling in an airline.
  • Strong understanding of global aviation markets, competitor strategies, bilateral rights, slot constraints, tourism flows, and long-term market evolution.
  • Proficiency with international network tools such as OAG, Cirium, SRS Analyser, MIDT, Sabre Market Intelligence, or aviation forecasting models.
  • Experience in securing and managing international airport slots, regulatory approvals, and seasonal schedule submissions.
  • Excellent analytical, forecasting, and quantitative modelling ability.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft performance, international turnaround standards, crew feasibility, and operational constraints.
  • Ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects across borders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strategic mindset.

Terms
  • Contract: 2 Years renewable
  • Starting date: Immediate
  • Airline location: South Asia
  • Remuneration: Up to USD 4,500 net per month
  • Accommodation: will be provided for the first 10 days after arrival. Then USD 1,200 monthly allowance will be provided.
