Our client, a leading airline in Papua New Guinea operating nearly 30 domestic routes, is seeking a General Manager – Information Technology to lead the airline’s IT strategy, systems, and infrastructure in alignment with its corporate objectives.

The General Manager - Information Technology reports to Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for all aspects of the airline’s information technology and systems.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or related field
• Relevant professional certifications
• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role
• Strong technical and administrative skills
• Knowledge of CASA PNG rules and aviation regulatory compliance
• Effective multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience in managing IT budgets and leading diverse teams

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of IT and telecommunications
• Ensure alignment of IT systems with organizational goals
• Oversee IT infrastructure, security, budgets, and staff
• Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and systems
• Support safety and risk management across IT operations
• Provide user support, training, and tech troubleshooting
• Monitor system performance, perform upgrades, and maintain inventory
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
