Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Our client, the leading domestic airline of Papua New Guinea, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and success within the Charters Division. 

Position

An opportunity has risen within the Charters Division for an experienced Business Development Manager. Based in Port Moresby, this position will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our charter services by identifying and securing new business opportunities. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand our client base, increase revenue,
and enhance our charter market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong communication lines with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, focusing on diversified industries such as Oil & Gas.
  • Prepare tailored proposals and engaging presentations to showcase our charter services.
  • Lead contract negotiations with clients alongside internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of contracts and strategies.
  • Implement metrics and KPIs to measure business development success and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Analyze sales performance and regularly report insights to management.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the charter or aviation industry.

  • Deep understanding of charter services, regulations, and compliance standards.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, data analytics tools, and financial analysis for strategic decision-making.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Results-oriented with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience working in emerging markets such as Papua New Guinea is an advantage.
