Company 

Our client, a reputable airline in the Asian Pacific region, is currently looking for an Inventory Controller – Components and Powerplant to join them as permanent employee. The airline operates an extensive network of destinations and boasts a diverse fleet of narrow-body and wide-body aircraft. 

Position

The Inventory Controller – Components and Powerplant will be responsible for ensuring the availability of compliant aircraft rotables and repairables. This includes airframe and cabin LRUs, APUs, powerplants, and tooling/GSE, all maintained in accordance with agreed service levels and budgeted costs. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Sourcing, reviewing, and managing the approval of repair shops. 
  • Assisting airline procurement with contracting comprehensive repair agreements. 
  • Managing the end-to-end repair process for rotables and repairables, as well as the Quick Engine Change (QEC) build-up/build-down process. 
  • Overseeing the Inventory Technical Management (ITM) pool service providers 
  • Ensuring that the airline-owned rotables and repairables are properly provisioned. 
  • Properly vetting and clearing supplier invoices. 
  • Supporting other departments in resolving parts shortages. 
  • Participating in cross-functional LEAN process improvement projects. 
  • Setting up budgets for repair and ITM activities, and monitoring actual costs. 
  • Managing engine storage at on-site and off-site locations, and overseeing the initial provisioning process for new aircraft systems and types. 

Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering processes. 
  • Over 2 years in an Associate Inventory Controller role (or equivalent). 
  • A degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Logistics, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical skills and process-oriented, with an emphasis on accuracy and thoroughness. 
  • Good commercial and financial awareness and acumen. 
  • Proven ability to work with external suppliers to maximise value from contracts 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report clearly and concisely 
  • A strong drive for excellence. 
  • Adaptable and responsive to change, with the capability to implement defined process changes. 
  • Demonstrated ability to execute assigned tasks with minimal supervision. 

Terms

The position of Inventory Controller - Components and Powerplants carries a basic monthly salary which will be discussed with shortlisted candidates. Plus benefits (annual leave, medical insurance, travel benefits, discretionary bonus and profit share).
