On behalf of our airline client, a leading Central American airline is looking for a Director of Maintenance to manage all maintenance operations, ensuring aircraft airworthiness and safe transportation of passengers and cargo.

Position

As Director of Maintenance, you will manage all maintenance operations and staff, ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft for the safe and efficient transportation of passengers and cargo.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Aircraft Maintenance License with Cessna 208B, airframe and powerplant ratings.
  • At least 5 years of experience maintaining Cessna 208B (Caravan) aircraft.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience with Cessna 208B.
  • Experience in high-cycle, corrosive environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations (BCAR 145, OPS 01).
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in budget management, resource allocation, and personnel management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report on the Maintenance Department’s performance to senior management.
  • Oversee corrective actions for Quality Audit findings.
  • Approve Aircraft Maintenance Programs (AMP) and collaborate on operational decisions.
  • Select contractors and oversee subcontractor communications.
  • Manage staff training and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance budgets, quality systems, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Supervise aircraft repairs, airworthiness decisions, and maintenance staff.
  • Maintain compliance with civil aviation regulations (BCAR 145, OPS 01).

  • Remuneration package: US$60K - US$70K per year (Negotiable)
