Are you a seasoned aviation professional with a deep understanding of A321 aircraft? We have an exciting opening for a Director of Maintenance at an airline in the Middle East.

The Director of Maintenance will oversee and manage all maintenance activities of the airline, ensuring compliance with ICAA and other relevant regulatory bodies rules and regulations, as well as the airlines policies and approved standards and procedures. This role involves planning, scheduling, managing, and coordinating both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work to meet business requirements.

Additionally, the Director of Maintenance will be responsible for developing both short-term and long-term maintenance plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders. The goal is to achieve the highest level of safety, cost efficiency, and reliability for the fleet.

Duty and responsibilities:

·       Develop and implement effective aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring compliance and controlling related costs.
·       Ensure that the required standards of quality are achieved for all tasks carried out within the area of responsibility, in accordance with ICAA requirements and the airline procedures.
·       Take necessary corrective actions resulting from quality audit in the areas of responsibility.
·       Ensuring that the Certificate of Airworthiness for each aircraft operated by the company remains valid in respect of:
a-      The airworthiness of the aircraft.
b-      The calendar expiry date specified in the certificate and.
c-      Any other condition specified in the certificate.
·       Apply Human Factor principles and the other necessary measures to ensure that the workplace is safe and secure.
·       Ensure that the Safety Management System (SMS) is implemented and conduct risk assessments for operational changes.
·       Maintain a safe and secure working environment, minimizing incidents and fostering a culture of safety awareness.
·       Manage the airline’s Technical Log System and ensure that the Log and any subsequent amendments to the Log are approved by the ICAA.
·       Manage the company’s system for keeping maintenance records in a manner acceptable to the ICAA, in association with the respective contracted maintenance organization.
·       Ensure that Technical Logs are retained for 36 months after the date of the last entry.
·       Liaise with the Ground ops regarding technical matters, including the coordination and implementation of the company policy regarding aircraft maintenance.

·       Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
·       Comprehensive knowledge of:
a-      The applicable ICAO regulations and any associated requirements and procedures
b-      The AOC holders Operations Specifications; and
c-      The need for, and content of, the relevant parts of the AOC holders Operations Manual.
·       Familiarity with management and quality systems in the area of aviation.
·       Three (3) years experience in maintaining any aircraft type used by the Airline including one year in the capacity of returning aircraft to service.
·       Have the relevant knowledge and appropriate experience requirements related to aircraft continuing airworthiness
·       Possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license.
·       Has completed a training course related to this position, preferably, recognized IATA, ICAO or EASA.

·      Have experience on A321 or A320 family
