Our client is a unique, international air cargo company in the handling air and ground logistics as well as aviation services. They are currently seeking to recruit the Group Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance operations across multiple sites.

Position

The Group Maintenance Director will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations for all aircraft operated by the company on its different bases.

This role involves strategic planning, management of maintenance organisations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing the efficiency of maintenance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation maintenance management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The position’s base is in Europe.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aviation management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in maintenance management are a plus.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in maintenance management, preferably in a multi-site or group setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance processes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance challenges.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
