Our airline client Luxair is an established airline in Europe, operating short- and medium-haul flights across Europe. 

We are looking for EASA Dash8-Q400 Captains to be based in Luxembourg.

1. Part-FCL (European) ATPL license

2. Current Type Rating De Havilland DHC8-400

3. At least 3,500 hours flying with an airline under EASA OPS

4. At least 1,000 hours on type as captain

5. Valid class 1 medical

6. High School Diploma or equivalent

7. Very good command of the English language, ELP 4 or higher

8. European Union (EU)/European Free Trade Association (EFTA) national

9. Height between 157 and 193 cm.

-        Contract length:

o   Fixed-term contract of 8-24 months period 

o   Seasonal contract of 10 months, followed by 2-month break

-        Remuneration

o   From €8,328.27 per month (with pilots having at least 4,000 flying hours + 1,000 PIC hours)

For every 1000 flight hours with scheduled airlines, 1 salary scale time unit will be credited towards the starting salary.

As an example, the salary for at least 11.000 flight hours is at 10.644,01€ 

o   The country has advantages tax rates, e.g. a gross salary of 10.644,01€ for a married person results in an approx. net salary of 7.400€ (*taxation depends on your individual household compensation) and for a single persons it results in an approx. net salary of 6.450€. 

o   As per the Labor Law, salaries are adjusted in line with the evolution of the costs of living (indexation) - if the consumer price index increases by 2.5% during the previous semester, salaries are normally adjusted by the same proportion.

-        Housing allowance:

o   1st contract €9,000

o   2nd contract €4,500

-        Accommodation: arranged and provided by the airline if requested for a maximum duration of 2 weeks after the entry date.

-        Supplements

o   An hourly tax-free supplement of 25% is paid for every flight duty hour worked during the night (local time between 22.00-6.00h)

o   An hourly tax-free supplement of 70% is paid for every crew duty hour worked on a Sunday

o   An hourly tax-free supplement of 100% is paid for every crew duty hour worked on a legal holiday

o   Additional payment of monthly flight allowances according to schedule

o   As an average, this will represent 6-7% on top of your monthly salary (tax free) 

-        Allowances

o   20€ net up to 6 hours duty

o   30€ net for > 6 hours duty

o   60€ net > 12 hours duty

o   As an average this will be 350€ net per month

-        Working times/vacation

o   Stable roster which is published latest on the 18th of each months for the following months

o   Possibility to receive a commuting roster to better allow combination of work and private life

o   10 days OFF per month of which 4 are consecutive

o   Return to home base for the majority of evenings (exemption for only a few destinations)

o   Pro-rated 31 Vacation days

-        Social Security & Health Care

You will be affiliated to the country social security system according to European regulations. The deductions from the gross salary are among the lowest in the EU at about 11 withholdings. You and your immediate family members will benefit from the Healthcare system.
